Closing the musical season curated by the Good Vibes Association - music culture environment, the Nasca Theater welcomes singer Maria Pia De Vito, accompanied by guitarist Roberto Taufic. De Vito is a musician, singer, composer and lyricist, characterized by naturalness in singing, intensity of interpretation and improvisational freedom. Her research on the voice ranges in different directions, without genre limits: from free jazz to electronics, from baroque music to the song form. Neapolitan Maria Pia De Vito and Roberto Taufic, Honduran by birth, Brazilian by training and Italian by adoption, represent a formidable duo of improvisers. Theirs is a transcultural project of surprising homogeneity, revealing how many elements in common can share apparently distant expressive realities. Melancholy, lyricism, fatalism and other more exquisitely lexical and melodic aspects can be found in the Brazilian musical tradition, as well as in the Neapolitan tradition and in jazz.
