L’Acquasantissima/Fabrizio Pugliese

On stage it is a mafioso who speaks: stories and facts say that mafiosi have built up an image of themselves as 'men of honour', paladins of order, but in their long history they have never defended the weak against the strong or the poor against the rich. The Mafia is a phenomenon of the ruling classes, of power. 'The Acquasantissima. Last day of Don Salvatore" is Ura Teatro's show staged in the cloister of the Augustinians with Fabrizio Pugliese, who, together with Francesco Aiello, also takes care of the texts and direction. The show investigates the extreme degradations and degenerations of criminal society: "What determines the non-contradiction between Mafia culture and Catholic culture?", and then, "How is it possible within the Church itself the presence of a God of executioners and a God of victims?".
