Hope is Naked" is the poignant, intelligent and passionate show staged at Koreja for Strade Maestre that sees Luca Toracca on stage. The multifaceted actor is completely immersed in Crisp's role and story, in those New York years of repression and aggression against gays but also of flamboyant mises flamboyant mises, make-up and sensational hairstyles. Mark Farrelly's monologue, constructed in two parts, draws heavily on a repertoire of aphorisms and paradoxes worthy of Oscar Wilde. The first part recounts that period in history, the second the irresistible one-man shows in which Crisp performed.
