What happens after the conclusion of Molière's "Don Giovanni"? Why must he, whom he loved so much, end up in hell? Is there no way to save him? What does such a great character leave behind? Above all, is there anyone capable of picking it up, valuing it and making that legacy his own? These are the questions that "Il ronzio delle vedove", a play written, directed and performed by Aldo Augieri and Simona Sansonetti, on stage at the Cantieri Teatrali Koreja. Among the countless representations of the libertine and unscrupulous seducer, this one focuses on his moral legacy. Women's anger, invective and resentment towards the male, insatiable conqueror, are transformed into unconditional love beyond time, reason and feelings themselves. So many women around one man, instead of contending with him and trying individually to win his favour, create a surprising complicity between them. The actors are young people from the Lecce Mental Health Centre and dancers, office workers, students, housewives, doctors, nurses and professionals, who took part in the casting. The show is part of the "The country and the community: theatre" section of the articulated calendar of the international theatre, music, dance and performing arts festival "Teatro dei luoghi", by Teatro Koreja.
