Wheels in history/ Vintage car rally

The engines of yesteryear rumble in Piazza Sant'Oronzo, with the Lecce leg of 'Ruote nella storia'. The national rally, organised by ACI Storico, is dedicated to enthusiasts and owners of vintage cars, welcomed by the Automobile Club Lecce. The rally kicks off from the square and then moves in the direction of Settelacquare for a regularity sports competition. Then the elegant classic cars head towards the sea at San Cataldo for a walk along the Adriatic Sea and finally meet at the Masseria Melcarne, in the countryside of Surbo, for lunch and the awarding of prizes: elegance, historical relevance and even sympathy.
