Beach Pro Tour “Futures”

The greatest beach volleyball players arrive in the shadow of the San Cataldo lighthouse for one of the 10 stages of the “Futures” Beach Pro Tour.  The Lecce marina is one of the four Italians that are hosting the Beach Volleyball World Championship for the first time: after Cervia and the Giardini di Naxos in Sicily, the competition will touch the Adriatic shores of San Cataldo and then continue to Cirò Marina, in Calabria. The Beach Pro Tour 2022 circuit is divided into three different levels: Elite 16, Challenge and Futures, in which the best athletes in the world will participate based on their position in the world ranking.

“After the past years in which we hosted the Italian championship first in San Cataldo and then in Frigole”, says the councilor for tourism Paolo Foresio, “this year the challenge becomes international and even more exciting. We are already working to be ready and welcome the athletes and their staff to the best of our ability ”.
