Agos Green & Smart Parks

It stops at the Bruno Petrachi park in Lecce Parchi Agos Green & Smart, an urban space regeneration project launched in 2021 to create more welcoming and technological green areas in cities. The parks that are part of the project, which acts in the green areas of cities and contributes to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of neighbourhoods, are the first 4-dimensional urban park model: SPORT, GREEN, SMART AND ART.

The Bruno Petrachi park, in the San Sabino district, has been completely redeveloped thanks to the intervention of Agos, which adopted the green area on the basis of the project "Il verde sei tu: adotto un'area verde e sponsorizzo l'iniziativa" ("Green is you: I adopt a green area and I sponsor the initiative") of the Municipality of Lecce, curated and developed by Brand for the City, starting with public meetings with the mayor Carlo Salvemini and the councillor for Sport Paolo Foresio during which citizens expressed needs and interests on which the regeneration was built. The park is home to a new multidisciplinary basketball and volleyball court, new flowerbeds accommodating educational vegetable gardens for the adjacent schools, and, inspired by the theme of music, the playground lines have been traced with a decorative motif that divides the different areas: the pentagram with the pause symbol indicates a place for rest and relaxation; the stylised tuning fork connotes the events area and a chessboard is available for everyone to play on.

On the opening day, the perimeter wall of the Stomeo-Zimbalo Institute is decorated with street art works created during the art workshops. Inside, on the other hand, there are QR Codes dedicated to the "green" that tell the story of the trees and shrubs planted, and others that refer to the Pick-Roll app for organising basketball and volleyball matches, encouraging socialising through sport. The park also hosts spaces for outdoor classes, artistic activities, exhibitions and socio-cultural activities.

The Bruno Petrachi park is the fifth expression of the Agos Green&Smart Parks project in Italy after Milan, Catania, Lucca and Rome.
