
Vigna d’Argento Award

After the Milan stage and before the Rome stage, the Vigna d'argento Prize returns to Piazza Duomo in Lecce. It is awarded to outstanding women and men in culture, entertainment, institutions and civil society who have contributed to the growth of the country. For the ninth edition, the statuette, the work of the late sculptor Ugo Malecore, goes to the president of the Consiglio superiore di Sanità Franco Locatelli, the television presenter Rita Dalla Chiesa, the director of Caritas in Lecce Nicola Macculi, the Vaticanist deputy head of the Roman editorial office of Avvenire Mimmo Muolo, the president of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato Paolo Perrone, the founder and CEO of Deghi Alberto Paglialunga, the councillor for Education, Training and Labour of the Puglia Region Sebastiano Leo, the deputy editor-in-chief of Il Sole 24 Ore Vincenzo Miglietta, and the president of Happy Casa Brindisi Fernando Marino. Entertaining the audience, during the evening presented by patron Pino Lagalle together with Elia D'Arpa, singer-songwriter and percussionist Tony Esposito, Marco Mingardi, Gabriele Nahi and the Bedixie Band. The Lecce cathedral's liturgical choir directed by Tonio Calabrese, the Riccardo Monti Band, Riccardo Cananiello, Mattia Carlucci, and Luisa De Pascalis will participate.
