Treccani Festival / Raiz & Radicanto Duo

The theme of the Treccani Festival #leparolevalgono 2023 is astonishment. Human beings have brought much of the world back to rational explanation, and yet they continue to feel and say they are frequently lost and surprised, while being hit by a constant mass of information and audiovisual stimuli. It is worth dwelling on what astonishes or should astonish and why. Certainly astonishing is 'Musica immaginaria mediterranea', the concert by Gennaro Della Volpe, aka Raiz. The Neapolitan singer, voice and frontman of Almamegretta, is accompanied by the Radicanto Duo, namely Giuseppe De Trizio on guitar and Giovanni Chiapparino on accordion, two Apulian musicians from the Radicanto collective, who have long supported Raiz in the studio and on stage. "Musica immaginaria mediterranea" is a new concert, powerful and refined at the same time, in which the sound universe of voices is interwoven with rhythmic rhythms, in a tale that seems never-ending. The atmosphere of the concert is the result of the astonishment of other listening, of watching films or contemplating works of figurative art, as well as, of course, of the personal experience of the artists.
