Tempora Contempora/ Ondjango

The female figures in the archaeological finds of the Castromediano Museum each have their own aesthetic and expressive language. It is on this aspect that the local and international artists involved in the artistic residency curated by Quintal wondered, engaged in a path of exploration and confrontation centered on the female universe and the construction of the other, between the "sea in the middle of the lands" and the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean and Bantu culture. The "Ondjango" project was conceived as part of the cooperation between Angola's National Museum of Anthropology and the Lecce museum, where participants bring to the stage the concluding multidisciplinary performance during which Angolan artist Cabuenha Janguinda Moniz dialogues with the voices and musical instruments of Claudio Prima (accordion), Clara Blavet (flute) and Nino Martella (percussion). The event is part of the Tempora/Contempora review, on body language in the performing arts, curated by the Accademia Mediterranea dell'Attore and the Lecce biblio-museum pole.
