Tempora Contempora/ (H)Amleto

Tempora Contempora/ (H)Amleto

It is inspired by one of William Shakespeare's most famous tragedies from which it also takes its title, "(H)Hamlet", the play by Tonio De Nitto and Fabio Tinella, the result of the permanent theatre and disability workshop of Factory Compagnia Transadriatica. The protagonists are a group of people with and without disabilities who have grappled with the Shakespearian masterpiece, probing themes and possibilities in order to claim their own existence, clinging to that "to be" even when the meaning is lost. The result is an investigation into the non-conforming body through the non-conforming gaze and words that accompany the descent into Shakespeare's abyss. Even the words of this (H)Hamlet are written by a non-conformist pen, they are the free birth of thoughts in which person and character are confused, inventing a special, essential and existential grammar. The show, co-produced with the Fondazione Sipario Toscana, is on stage at the Teatro Apollo and is part of the programme of the Tempora/Contempora review, on the language of the body in the performing arts, organised by the Accademia Mediterranea dell'Attore and the Lecce biblio-museum pole.
