Tempora Contempora/ Apostolia Papadamaki

Dedicated to the city, urban space and relationships is the fourth edition of Tempora/Contempora, the international focus on body language in the performing arts promoted by the Accademia Mediterranea dell'Attore and the Lecce biblio-museum pole. It begins with "Ancient Souls and Human Bodies," the outcome of an artistic residency led by Greek dancer and choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki in which professional and non-professional performers took part. The Castromediano Museum hosts the experiential performance that blends contemporary performance art with ancient mysticism, an awakening of memory that creates a bond between the audience and the exhibits on display in the museum through a symbiotic relationship with the past. An invitation to the public to feel the hidden values rooted in the archaic power of statues and sacred objects, in antithesis with the vulnerability of the human body.
Two shifts: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
