Strade Volontarie

Listening, organisation and, more than anything else, passion. These are the indispensable ingredients of the good volunteer recipe, which CSV Brindisi Lecce Volontariato nel Salento seeks to provide to create a new path of commitment, destination: International Volunteer Day. In the morning, in the streets of Lecce's historic centre, an urban game is organised, conceived as a route in stages where the various local associations, through team quizzes, let boys and girls get to know their solidarity reality. The largest part of the programme, however, is hosted by the Biblioteca OgniBene: here, the ETSs taking part in the day will set up workshops ranging from readings to recycling and digital activities. At 7.30 p.m., it is then time for the award ceremony of the amateur photography video competition “Le competenze del dono”. “Solidarity is in the eye of the beholder”, speaks the claim of the contest, which aims to broaden the view of social issues through creativity, flair and originality. Accompanying the small ceremony is the result of the polyphonic singing workshop Coro a Coro, for women who love to sing united under the sign of multiculturalism, directed by Rachele Andrioli.
