Snatching

Approaching a neighbourhood, becoming familiar with its cultural and architectural specificities, traditions, anecdotes, characters. To feel pleasantly 'displaced' by narratives of individual and collective stories, by other points of view, by new visions of a community, which preserves its identity memory, regenerating itself. All this is Spiazzamenti, the third edition of the festival set up in the Santa Rosa district, bringing together visual, audiovisual, musical and performing arts, organised by the Ritualis association.
The first day's programme focuses on cinema and audiovisual arts. In the square next to the porticoes, the documentary on Letizia Battaglia 'Amore Amaro', directed by Francesco Raganato, is first screened. This is followed by the film 'La Grande Guerra del Salento' (The Great War of Salento), by Marco Pollini, which tells the tragic story, which really happened in the late 1940s, of the death of a boy during a football match between Ruffano and Supersano.
The evening ends with a concert of world music for guitar and tambourine, with Simone Carrino and Gianni Sciambarruto. In addition, the arcade gallery and the small square in via Adige, enriched by the presence of the art market, host the video installation 'Landscape-Antology of Landscape', by the Zeugma collective. They also host the photographic exhibition 'Passwords. Gateways to a world of global networks reaching from the underground of cities to the stars", by Caterina Gerardi.
The photographic project "Ceramiche INA-Casa part #2", curated by architects Francesco Pascale and Giulia Canale, returns with a new selection.
During the afternoons of the two-day event, the children of the neighbourhood are the protagonists of the workshops organised by Fermenti Lattici, Ritualis and the book presidium organised by the Acchiappalibri municipal library. Admission is free.
