Saint Oronzo 2023: our celebration/ Ritmo binario and Antonio Castrignanò

The civil and religious festivities "Sant'Oronzo 2023: Our Feast Day," organized by the municipal administration, the Archdiocese of Lecce and Pugliarmonica, conclude to the rhythm of pizzica and taranta. Opening the dances in Piazza Libertini is the contemporary pizzica of Ritmo Binario, between traditional elements and raggae and folk rhythms, alternating committed songs with lighter and comical ones. This is followed by Antonio Castrignanò, icon of Salento folk music, accompanied by his band Taranta Sounds, who stir up the audience with his energy and a repertoire of traditional songs and his own original songs. At midnight, eyes are raised to the sky for the Grand Pyrotechnic Festival, which sees the firms Piromagia from Pannarano of Benevento, Pirotecnica Salentina of Novoli and Pirotecnica Moderna of Giovanni Padovano of Genzano di Lucania take turns for three batteries of fires.
