Off Project/ Ma. Of births and rebirths

The theme is that of being a mother. The protagonists are the inmates of the Lecce District House. The project, an idea of Carmen Ines Tarantino and Benedetta Pati, used theatrical emersive practices and audiovisual techniques to create an audiovisual art product that is installed in an intimate and restricted environment that provides for only a few viewers at a time. "Ma. Di parti e di rinascite" is scheduled in Lecce's Casa circondariale as part of Off projects of Tempora/Contempora, the international focus on body language in the performing arts, promoted by the Accademia Mediterranea dell'Attore and the Lecce biblio-museum pole, dedicated this year to the city, urban space and relationships. The women involved have constructed an innovative plot, with multiple points of view, to tell the story of excluded mothers, with testimonies collected in a work written and directed by Mattia Epifani, Carmen Ines Tarantino and Benedetta Pati. The project is a winner of the Futura call. Puglia for equality of the Presidency of the Regional Council of Puglia.
