Christmas in Lecce/ Steal Away Gospel & Sprituals

In synergy with the territory's most important cultural institutions, the ArtWork association takes on a special mission: to raise the community's spirit, so that the immersion in the Christmas air is as deep as possible. To go beyond the mere consumerist customs of the festive season, the favoured instrument is music, the protagonist of the rich programme of events of “Natale a Lecce” (Christmas in Lecce), inaugurated on Immaculate Conception Day. On Boxing Day, the naves of the Church of San Matteo host a second concert: it is “Steal Away Gospel & Spirituals”, performed by the jazz class of the “Tito Schipa” Conservatory of Music. The event is organised under the patronage of the City of Lecce.
