Natale a Lecce/ Note di Natale

"Alongside the shopping and entertainment, typical of the Christmas season, our people also feel the need to nourish the spirit". The words of Monsignor Michele Seccia, Archbishop of Lecce, help to understand the importance, for the community spirit, of “Natale a Lecce”. Organised by ArtWork association, with the Archdiocese of Lecce and the “Splendor Fidei” foundation, the event helps to plunge yourself in the Christmas air, hidden behind the consumerist veil of festivity. "Music," says the bishop, "fosters closeness with God, and helps us feel like men and women who always aim higher”. And indeed, music is the protagonist of the festival: it starts on Immaculate Conception Day with “Note di Natale”, a concert organised by the “Cosimo De Giorgi” scientific high school.
