Musica, cartapesta e arte/ Epifania in Musica

The cycle of events “Musica, cartapesta e arte”, which has graced the Chiesa della Nova throughout the festive period, is drawing to a close. Epiphany, as we know, sweeps away all festivities, and this is no exception. "Epiphany in Music" is the concert by the students of the ITES Olivetti Band, brought to the church stage to close the circle of events they opened on Boxing Day. Along with music, the Epiphany is the chance to visit the traditional papier-mâché exhibition, modelled by today's Salento masters, inspired by those of the past. Nativities, typical characters of the Salento nativity scene and small groups of statues enrich the “gentle” rococo exhibition curated for years by the Lecce section of the Italia Nostra association.
