Spazio WeLab hosts Otto Marco Mercante with his book "Farfalle, storie di trasformazioni", published by Mama Dunia Edizioni. The author dialogues with Margherita Macrì, a journalist and publishing expert. The book is based on the show of the same name, a trio of surreal, poetic, funny and touching tales whose main theme is transformation, with butterflies as a metaphor for life's changes. "Story of the First..." deals with the growth of the child and its need for identification with the world around it, "The Giant and the Butterfly" talks about the transformation of adolescence and the relationship with parents during this phase of life, "The Too Beautiful Butterfly" deals with the change from adulthood to old age and the transience of beauty. Maria Thilo's magnificent illustrations make the text even more accessible and appealing to children, who are stimulated to imagine the different worlds told in the three tales before one fine day transforming into a beautiful butterfly.
