Kids/ Opening Parade

The magic of the Christmas holidays is enriched with theatre and the enchantment of storytelling with the 9th edition of Kids, a festival of theatre and arts for the new generations, conceived and organised by Factory compagnia transadriatica and Principio attivo teatro. A festival within a festival for young and old who can indulge in wonder, play, and encounters "without fear", as this year's title states. Theatre companies await the public on stages set up in various locations around the city: the Apollo Theatre, the Palmieri Boarding School, the former Augustinian Convent, the Railway Museum, the Manifatture Knos, the Paisiello Theatre and the Nasca Theatre. The ninth edition kicks off with a colourful and festive parade that starts at Porta Napoli, at 11am, and winds its way through the main streets of the historic centre. Also parading in the procession are many of the artists from the national and international theatre companies that are guests of this edition, a tasty foretaste of what will be happening in the city over the next few days.
