Kids/ My grandfather and the mule

My grandfather and the mule', a tale about the stubborn strength of love, is inspired by the short story 'The Road' by Vasily Grossman'. The show by the Principio Attivo Teatro company, by and with Giuseppe Semeraro directed by Paola Leone, is on stage at Manifatture Knos, in the small hall, for Kids, a theatre and arts festival for the new generations. The story tells of a child and his beloved mule who are sent to the front during the war. Their destinies are separated but the two experience the same tragedy. It is the little boy's grandfather who reconnects the thread of memories, recalling the horrors of war as seen, in particular, through the eyes of a mule. But all is not lost because from the bitter events recounted one can recognise clues of a good that is still possible and that could explode without logic, just like evil.
