Kids/ Mario Bianchi

An afternoon dedicated to the presentation of Mario Bianchi's book 'Il teatro ragazzi in Italia. Un percorso possibile dal 2008 ad oggi', published by Franco Angeli. Theatre plays a decisive role in children's growth, because it fosters awareness of self and others, sociality and participation, inclusion, and critical spirit. In recent years, the Italian children's theatre scene has become increasingly in tune with the sensitivity of the new generations. These are shows, workshops, projects that use languages, modes of interaction and design that are often innovative. Sometimes they delicately tackle 'uncomfortable' topics and respond to needs that have always been present, which the recent pandemic has made even more urgent. Mario Bianchi, who has been passionately involved in children's theatre all his life, has mapped this territory in constant movement, between novelty and tradition. He provides educators, families and public administrators with a tool to orient themselves in an increasingly rich and articulated proposal. Without ever forgetting that theatre, like all the arts, is animated first and foremost by the search for beauty, and therefore gives wonder, pleasure and well-being. The event is part of the Kids review, Festival of theatre and arts for the new generations conceived and organised by Factory compagnia transadriatica and Principio attivo teatro.
