Kids/ Giovannin without words

There is a country where the first great rule is to obey the orders of its leader. He is also the master of the great workshop of words, which he corrects at will. One day the Chief decides to make a speech to his subjects, issuing new orders. But just when everything seems to be regulated to perfection, along comes a young man who knows no rules. On stage at the Paisiello Theatre is 'Giovannin senza parole', a production of the Crest company, a show included in the dense programme of Kids, Festival of theatre and arts for the new generations. "The story we are staging," say the Taranto company, "is a comic apologue designed for kids and the kids we used to be. We tackle the delicate theme of the exercise of force through words, observing it through the innocent eyes of a boy who, thanks to his 'mistakes', will transform the entire country. Because, you know, mistakes are just an attempt to do what you don't know'. Actor's work is mixed with clown work, object manipulation and live music to lightly accompany this kind of journey from darkness to light, restoring to the characters and their dream of freedom the light-hearted sweetness of the clown.
