Kids Festival/ Che la festa cominci!

For years, Factory compagnia transadriatica and Principio attivo teatro have been organising an international theatre festival that crosses play with wonder, amazement, and above all the education of children. Kids Festival continues this year, to the rhythm of celebrations for the tenth edition: "Let the party begin!".

The second day starts at 10am at Tagghiate Urban Factory. Here, the French director David Rolland brings "Donne moi le main-happy manif" (to be repeated at 12 noon), 50 minutes for young spectators aged 8 and up in which differences, prejudice and discrimination are tackled in search of the original roots of racism.

At 10.30 a.m. the Manifatture Knos will host the return of "Home" (repeated at 5 p.m.), where Anastasiia and Djonnik, her dog, forced by a storm to look for a new home, follow a path of unexpected friendships and strange dwellings. A 60-minute show, including an afterplay in which the boys and girls are invited to draw the house of their dreams on stage.

The festival also stops in the evocative setting of the Carlo V Castle, which for the occasion hosts a performance by the Teatro Telaio company from Brescia. "Arcipelago" is a theatrical installation acted out and brought to life by the children themselves, who are welcomed by an operator who, in a protected environment, provides them with guidance on how to process and share emotions and life experiences. Forty minutes aimed at contact and self-exploration. Recommended for children aged five and up. Double show scheduled at 5 and 6 pm.

Also, back at 5pm at the Paisiello Theatre is “In viaggio con il Piccolo Principe” (Travelling with the Little Prince). The TRG Foundation's tour evokes the sweet and strong emotions of the little explorer from asteroid B-612 through its main protagonists, from the aviator/narrator to the fox and the snake, the last soul that saw him on the planet.

The Chiesa degli Agostiniani is also a protagonist of the festival: at 5.30 p.m. its spaces welcome “Distanze”, a 45-minute performance by the Arti Teatro delle Briciole company, dedicated to boys and girls aged five and up.

At the same time, “Evelina vien dal mare” is staged at the Convitto Palmieri. Elisabetta Aloia immerses herself and the audience (aged 7 and up) in a story about becoming aware of one's own value and accepting one's uniqueness, beyond the very precise schemes within which one is too often firmly set from birth.

Finally, the day ends with a double performance, at 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm, of "VU", a show by the French company Sacékripa. Recommended for audiences aged 7 and over, on the Manifatture Knos stage is what the company itself defines as a 55-minute "silent show" about the small obsessions of everyday life, which can sometimes take us to the brink of madness.
