Kids/ A sky of their own

All aboard! One of the most eagerly-awaited and exciting events of Kids, a theatre and arts festival for the new generations that fills the spaces of the Railway Museum with stories and magic, starts "Travelling with stories". On the carriage of one of the historic trains, Angela De Gaetano tells the story of little Amelia who grew up free in the open air, even though at the time being a child was very difficult. It was easier to be a child and not a girl. Amalia loved basketball, tennis and had a dream in her drawer: she wanted to fly, to become an aeroplane pilot. So one day she decided to dare, facing very tough trials, but she managed to conquer 'A sky all to herself', as the title of Angela De Gaetano's play states. Thanks to her courage, she defied all obstacles and prejudices and was the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean, flying solo.
