Il Sallentino

Gala evening of the 19th edition of 'Il Sallentino', the award of honour given annually to local excellences. Receiving the award was U.S. Lecce technical area director Pantaleo Corvino, for promoting the territory. Special awards went to writer Annarita Miglietta, for safeguarding and enhancing the Salento language, and to lawyer Pietro Quinto, for his legal activity of high social and professional value. Among the special prizes, the prize for journalism went to Ruben Razzante, for professionalism to doctor Raffaele Prudenzano, the Terra d'Otranto prize to the municipalities of Castro and Mesagne, the È donna prize to journalist and writer Leda Cesari and orchestra conductor Paola Vizzi. During the evening, hosted by actress, singer and showgirl Simona Greco, the award ceremonies alternated with moments of entertainment. On stage musical performances by Elisabetta Guido (her musical direction) and Exquirimus International Chamber for SalentoMediFestival, by Ketty Camerlengo and Gabriele Nahi for Il Cantasalento. Space will also be given to fashion with Fashion&Beauty, the Lady Tarì grand gala, and to dance with Lo spettacolo delle Stelle di Terra d'Otranto, organised by Annalisa and Sara Caputo's Arte Danza.
