Hands and listening/ Antonella Caputo, Dario Congedo, Roberto Chiga, Emmanuel Ferrari, Giovanni Chirico

The cycle of "Incontri con il pianoforte tra parole e musica" (Meetings with the piano between words and music), as part of the 22nd edition of "Le mani e l'ascolto" (Hands and listening) in the Fondo Verri spaces is drawing to a close. As is now tradition, the meetings combine words and sounds, hosting writers, poets and musicians. In the penultimate event, Antonella Caputo presents her novel 'When we grow up', published by Les Flâneurs. A hymn to friendship that tells the story of a group of light-hearted and cheerful girls and boys, scarred by life, rebellious, spoilt, who grew up together on the low wall of a Salento seafront. For some time some of them lost sight of each other but, at the threshold of their thirties, their destinies intertwined again, amidst job hunting, boredom, loss of hope, sentimental confusion and drugs. Next, at around 8 p.m., the ensemble composed of Emmanuel Ferrari on accordion, Giovanni Chirico on sax, Roberto Chiga on percussion, and Dario Congedo on drums will take the stage, in a journey through the sounds of popular music, jazz, and other musical worlds.
