Conversations on the future/ Nicolas Werth

Books are the protagonists of the intense afternoon of Conversations on the Future at the Convitto Palmieri. The first guest of the event dedicated to the contemporary world, organised by the association Diffondiamo idee di valore under the coordination of Gabriella Morelli, is Nathalie Tocci, director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali in Rome, who at 6.30 p.m., at the Teatrino del Convitto, will present her book 'Fuori dal tunnel: come l'Europa può superare la grande crisi' (Out of the tunnel: how Europe can overcome the great crisis), accompanied by Daniele De Luca, lecturer in History of International Relations at the University of Salento. The author addresses the emergencies crushing Italy and Europe and explains how we can get out by reconciling security and energy transition.

Also at 6.30 p.m., the Museo della Stampa will host the meeting "Radio, paper, podcast: from under the volcano to Timbuktu" with Marino Sinibaldi, director of the quarterly magazine "Sotto il volcano" (Under the volcano) which, over a series of ten issues, aims to show, document, narrate and re-imagine reality, and author of the podcast "Timbuktu", a place where to talk about the world with books, published on Il post. The essayist reviews these experiences with author and cultural worker Giulia Maria Falzea.

Closing at 9 pm, at the Teatrino del Convitto, with Rick Dufer, the web's most irreverent philosopher, who presents his book "La parola a Don Quixote. Cogitate scomode con personaggi impossibili" (Feltrinelli) accompanied by journalist, philosopher, social media strategist and university lecturer Bruno Mastroianni.
