Conversations on the Future/ Gran Teatro Italia

Economics and politics are the topics discussed at the opening of the last day of meetings of the Conversazioni sul futuro festival, an event organised by the association Diffondiamo idee di valore under the coordination of Gabriella Morelli. At the Convitto Palmieri theatre at 4.30 p.m., economist Stefano Prezioso, one of the coordinators of SVIMEZ's annual report, where he serves as research manager, will present the volume written with Carmelo Petraglia "Nord e sud. Divari economici e politiche pubbliche dall'euro alla pandemia" (Carocci) in dialogue with Alessandro Delli Noci, councillor for Economic Development of the Puglia Region; Andrea Conte, economist at the European Commission; Amedea Francesca Nielli, president of Giovani Imprenditori Confindustria Lecce. Journalist Francesco Gioffredi will moderate.

Talks on "The future of food. Il cibo del futuro' (The food of the future) at 6.45 p.m. with Federica Stella Blasi, LUM lecturer in Economics of sustainable agri-food systems and Programme Manager of the Distretto Agroalimentare di Qualità Jonico-Salentino (Ionian-Salentine Quality Agri-food District); Nick Difino, author and TV presenter, consultant for food & tourism; and Michele Antonio Fino, lecturer in Roman law and rights of antiquity at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.

Closing the last day of the festival, at 8 p.m., at the Teatrino del Convitto Palmieri, is the journalist Alberto Mattioli presenting 'Gran teatro Italia' (Garzanti) in dialogue with music critic Eraldo Martucci.
