
Conversations on the future/ Food is inclusion

The 'Common Food' project is aimed at adopting the Food Plan of the City of Lecce, a strategic document indicating the guidelines and actions needed to guarantee Lecce citizens a healthy, sustainable diet, with priority given to locally produced food. But it also envisages the establishment of a 'Food Council', made up of citizens, public institutions, associations and players in the fishing-agriculture-food sector. The Conversazioni sul futuro festival is hosting a stage in this participatory process promoted by Ce.F.A.S., Slow Food Lecce, Oltre Mercato Salento and the Municipality of Lecce, with the meeting 'Food is Inclusion. Towards a food policy in Lecce'.
Speakers include Fabrizio Chetrì, referent of the Ce.F.A.S. Training Centre; Sergio Longo, Slow Food Lecce trustee; Virginia Meo, referent of Oltre Mercato Salento;Silvia Miglietta, Lecce Municipality welfare councillor; Donato Nuzzo, referent of Gruppo Umana Solidarietà; Cinzia Scaffidi, freelance journalist and lecturer, expert in global issues linked to food, and other guests. The event is part of the Conversazioni sul futuro programme, organised by the association Diffondiamo idee di valore, coordinated by Gabriella Morelli.
