Conversations on the future/ A Paperopolitan education

The afternoon at the Rudiae Archaeological Park opens at 3 p.m., discovering the Messapian (7th century B.C.) and later Roman (3rd century B.C.) city, best known for being the birthplace of the father of Latin literature Quintus Ennius (239-169 B.C.). After the guided tour, at 4 p.m., the book 'A Paperopolese Education. A sentimental dictionary of our childhood', by Valentina De Poli, former editor of Mickey Mouse, a personal and collective diary of the coloured dream of an entire country. For ninety years Mickey Mouse comic books have been an integral part of the imagination of millions of Italians: the author presents it in dialogue with Fausto Vitaliano, author of comics and cartoons for Disney and Rainbow, and Stefano Cristante, lecturer in Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes, University of Salento.
