Christmas in Lecce/ Inauguration of community nativity scene

Realised by the association "Villeggiatura in panchina" and dedicated this year to the children victims of all wars, the community nativity scene is lit up in Piazzale Cuneo, in which the residents of the neighbourhood participated. The evening begins at 7pm with the lighting of the lights by the mayor Carlo Salvemini, in the presence of the councillor for Economic Development of the Apulia Region Alessandro Delli Noci and the new parish priest of the parish of San Massimiliano Kolbe, don Maurizio Ciccarese.

At 8.00 pm, the crib, which can be visited every day without time limits, will be blessed. At 8.30 p.m. Father Christmas delivers gifts and toys to the children of the neighbourhood. Then the evening turns into a real community party that gathers around the installation that everyone has contributed to in their own way to share the pleasure of taking care of a space that belongs, truly, to everyone. Like every year, there is a children's show with Mago Ninì while music by Eugenio Eloisa Eventi wafts through the air.

Around the hut is a refreshment point with roasted chestnuts, nuts and sandwiches.
