Christmas in Lecce/ Fair of typical handicrafts

The Santa Lucia fair closes its doors and the Teatini Cloisters open up to a fascinating new exhibition. This is the Fair of typical Salento handicrafts, from 27 December. For a week, the cloister continues to host cribs, nativity figures and Christmas-inspired objects made strictly by hand, in papier-mâché, terracotta or Lecce stone. There are none of the objects found in classic market fairs: only artefacts showcasing the art, beauty and skill of master craftsmen.

The fair remains open until 1 January 2024 and can be visited on weekdays from 9.30 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8.30 pm (9.30 pm on Saturdays). On Sundays from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm.
