Christmas in Lecce / Christmas Concert in Santa Croce

Christmas arrives with all its magic and to make it even more evocative, in Lecce, are the gospel songs in the splendid setting of the basilica of Santa Croce. For the Christmas concert, this year from 8 p.m., performing in the city's iconic church is Sharrita Duran, an 'acrobatic soprano', as she has been called by music critics, with a warm, soft voice and an extension that allows her to range over every musical style, thanks also to her excellent technique. Able to combine beautiful singing with black music, she transforms prayers, tears and hopes into songs of joy, adoration and strength. This is the gospel, the main theme of the concert. For the occasion Duran is accompanied by the Glory Gospel Quartet with Antonio Ancora.
