Alice and the Others/Freedom

"Dreams" and "Freedom" are the two key words of the seventh edition of "Alice and the others", a festival of women writers, directors and poets that, after two years of forced absence, lands in the Nasca theatre in the Stadio district, zone 167b. Two days revolving around the role of women in this historical moment, their stories, their dreams, their visions as directors, writers and poets. And two sections: one dedicated to cinema, curated by Paola Manno, with 14 short and medium-length films by national and international women directors and a special focus on Armenian women directors; and a section dedicated to literature and poetry, with the editors of the Collettiva publishing house.
The second day is 'Freedom' and starts at 6.30 p.m. with greetings. Then the screen lights up with 'Camina con migo', by the students of the Serrerìa primary school in Valencia; 'Reporter Suspended' by Salam Yahya, Sanabel Al-Hoot and Renad Nasser; 'I still can't make it' by Elena Bursztein; 'The Heiress' by Evelina Barsegian; literary interlude with Elisabetta Liguori narrating Annie Ernaux: 'Writing as self-portrait'.
This is followed by screenings of: "We are the colour of our earth" by Mariam Ohanyan; "Marvelous" by Lusine Zakaryan; "Vera" by Anie Grigorian. It closes with the literary space of Serena Gatto who narrates Alicia Giménez Bartlett: "Being a woman through darkness".
