Cantelmo markets

Meetings, exchanges, manual skills, creativity, handicrafts, but also books, workshops and creative readings. The colourful stalls of the Officine Cantelmo are back again this year, calling together handmade enthusiasts and offering the chance to buy special, zero-kilometre, eco-friendly and certainly unique objects. In addition to the stalls of handmade products, there will be various initiatives and events. The second day at the Salento cultural centre kicks off with Grandma Marilena who, at 10.15 am and 11.45 am, will teach children and young people how to make the traditional 'purceddhuzzi'. At 4.30 p.m., the creative reading appointment (for children aged 2 and over) is with "Kamishibai" inspired by Beatrix Potter's "The Christmas Gift" and the workshop for the artistic realisation of the characters and environments that make up the illustrator's story, including origami, collage and drawings. At 6 p.m., the creative workshop continues with the creation of a garland (from 5 years old) while at 5.30 p.m. Livio Romano presents his latest book "A pelo d'acqua" (Les Flaneurs Edizioni). At 7 p.m., finally, Lorenzo Antonazzo talks about his "Le Giravolte" (Musicaos Editore).

Hours: 10 am to 9 pm.
