Cloister of Light/ Videomapping

The cloister inside the ancient seminary in Piazza Duomo once again comes alive with bright and colourful suggestions. The "Chiostro di luce" videomapping, developed by ArtWork in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Lecce, the "Splendor Fidei" foundation and AtFest, is a project for the innovative use of the four-sided portico, about 17 metres long and over 14 metres high, which combines multimedia content with the large façades of the historic buildings, using a powerful video projector with over 20,000 lumens and 4k resolution. The video projection reproduces some of the works of art housed in the Museum of Sacred Art on the first floor of the building, the most important pages of Lecce's history in the context of the Mediterranean, with particular reference to the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, the churches of the LeccEcclesiae circuit, and the feast of Saint Oronzo. The doors of the seminar building will open for the videomapping show from 8pm to 11pm and at the same time the panoramic lift of the cathedral bell tower will be in operation, thanks to the 'Visioni notturne' project.
