Negroamaro. Una viticoltura di eccellenza tra due mari

Negroamaro. Una viticoltura di eccellenza tra due mari

An eclectic and ductile vine, an identity symbol of that tongue of land squeezed between the two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, that is Salento. It is Negroamaro, whose ancient origins are recounted in the book "Negroamaro. A viticulture of excellence between two seas," written by Giuseppe Baldassarre and published by Espera. The monograph, full of interesting data and curious details, is the first volume of the series dedicated to Severino Garofano, edited by Stefano and Renata, the children of the oenologist who died in 2018. The character of the grape variety is revealed, reviewing the peculiarities of cultivation, the history of the variety, the soils on which it grows, the types of cultivation, the harvest, and the best results achieved in the most celebrated labels. The book is presented in the garden of Gimmi Restaurant, inside the Cloister of the Dominicans, Via San Pietro in Lama 23. With the author Giuseppe Baldassarre, a doctor by profession and sommelier by passion, coordinator of the scientific committee of AIS, Stefano and Renata Garofano will dialogue. Free admission.
