LE COSE CHE NON VOGLIO DIMENTICARE/Paolo Giordano
A year after "Il contagio" (The Contagion), a punctual and visceral analysis of what the spread of the virus is capable of changing and not changing in individuals and in society as a whole, Paolo Giordano returns to analyse the theme of the Coronavirus epidemic with "Le cose che non voglio dimenticare" (Einaudi). The writer, winner of the Strega prize in 2008 with "La solitudine dei numeri primi" (Mondadori), chooses the e-book and the diary formula for his "observation" of a world that has become alien and threatening in the space of a very short time, to put down on paper fears and doubts but also scientific and reliable news. The diaries also serve this purpose, to try to understand and comprehend each other and, naturally, to keep safe "the things we don't want to forget". Giordano is a guest in the cloister of the former Convento degli Agostiniani, with the mayor Carlo Salvemini and the journalist Gabriele De Giorgi moderating.
