Veniamoci incontro a teatro/ The Two Popes

On the stage of the Apollo Theatre comes "I due papi", the text from which the famous 2019 film was adapted. Giorgio Colangeli and Mariano Rigillo, directed by Giancarlo Nicoletti, stage a show, as part of the "Veniamoci incontro a teatro" theatre season of the Municipality of Lecce with Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, which retraces the days that led from the resignation of Benedict XVI to the election of Francis, between historical document, humour and drama, but also the lives of two men who are different from each other and share the same destiny and who find themselves friends, personalities out of the ordinary who ask themselves a timeless question: when in crisis, should one follow the rules or one's conscience? "I due papi" is a Goldenart production, Viola productions, Altra scena, I due della città del sole.

To make it easier for families to enjoy the theatre, BLABLABLA organises 'Vengo anche io' (I'm coming too), participatory workshops for boys and girls held in quiet spaces set up for them. Parents and children can thus share, in parallel, the experience of the performance with activities related to the themes of the plays. A mini-performance dedicated to participants aged 4 to 10, ranging from analogue collage to sewing, from light games to training in using kind words to discover one's own emotions. Tickets from 15 to 25 euros. It is possible to buy a suspended ticket that goes to associations, family homes and social cooperatives for those who cannot afford to go to the theatre.
