Veniamoci incontro a teatro/ How much is enough

The 2023-2024 theatre season of the Municipality of Lecce and Teatro Pubblico Pugliese "Veniamoci incontro a teatro" closes with the return to the Paisiello theatre stage of Paolo Sassanelli together with Lucia Zotti in "Quanto basta", written and directed by Alessandro Piva. The story is that of an elderly couple like many others: she is preparing to cook a parmigiana, he returns home with a radio found among the rubbish bins. She is juggling regrets, he is sheltered in his own little world. They know everything about each other, they bounce off each other, they are united by the fear of losing each other, and at the moment of danger a love that is a little felted and marked only by habits resurfaces. In the one-act play, Piva brings together poetic melancholy and comic irony, sketching the portrait of two human beings with whom everyone can identify and project themselves.
