UNicA/ Collective theatrical binge

The collective theatrical Barbonaggio returns to Lecce, after three years of enforced silence. A stage, a costume, stories to share chosen by the spectators from a playbook. The actors find the audience again, with whom they finally resume that contact abruptly interrupted by the pandemic. At 7 p.m. an informal meeting with all the artists in the centre of the square, to take stock of their work and their territories. At 8.30 p.m., the reading of Antonio De Curtis's 'Clown's Prayer' kicks off the actors' performances, who perform until 10 p.m. in the square and the surrounding streets. The collective theatre festival is a widespread celebration of theatre, a reminder that every artist is a worker and that theatre is a political act, as it is the foundation of the polis. The stated aim is to re-accustom people to value poetry, writing, to feel the need to nourish their souls through art.
