UNicA/ Candlelight Tales

Light a candle in the dark and the whole world becomes small, limited to a magic circle of dim light, with figures blurred in the half-light and the edges of things lapped by the blackness of darkness. These are Ura Teatro's 'Racconti a lume di candela', a performance by and with Fabrizio Pugliese and Fabrizio Saccomanno. Right there, in that concentrated and intimate space, the two actors begin to tell their stories in a sort of contest. Dusty but clear memories, facts that really happened in their childhood or completely out of their imagination, taken out of who knows what drawer of memory or invented at the moment and thrown in there with the intention of provoking, to frighten the other. Or perhaps who knows, to make him disappear. It is one disappearance after another, because each tale inexorably provokes a disappearance, an absence of sense. In the end, it is the universe itself that mysteriously vanishes. The show is part of the UNicA review.
