TWO CHEERFUL WIDOWERS/Carlo Buccirosso and Biagio Izzo

Set in the future just a little further than the present, just three years after the end of the pandemic, Carlo Buccirosso and Biagio Izzo stage the comedy "Two Merry Widows" on the stage of the Politeama Greco. It is the story of Cosimo Cannavacciuolo, a hypochondriac widower, permanently affected by anxieties and fears, constantly looking for affections and certainties.

Struggled by the loss of his wife, by the hardships suffered by the bankruptcy of his antique shop, which forced him to fill his house with all the unsold pieces, and by the looming shadow of the mortgage bank, Cosimo does not see other than conspiracies, problems and infectious diseases but his life is however "enlivened" by Salvatore, also a widower, bizarre guardian of the building. Between one floor and another of the building, neighbors who hide a dramatic secret, rooms for rent to histrionic actresses and other bizarre characters, the story, written and directed by Buccirosso, stages, with grace and irony, the restart and all the problems that the pandemic has left us.
