Theatre of Places Fest/ LàQua

Là qua, là qua, là qua... "LàQua" is a sweet lullaby, echoing from the mother's belly. It is the gentle sound of the first element, water, which accompanies, protects and cradles intra-uterine life. "LàQua" is the song of a creature's first journey at birth; it is a great little hymn to life and to water, which accompanies and sustains it. The title is a sonic decomposition of the word 'water' and refers to the game of lallazione and syllabication, which characterises the first phase of vocal exploration in newborns. "LàQua" is also the show, by and with Emanuela Pisicchio and Maria Rosaria Ponzetta, on stage for Koreja's Teatro dei Luoghi, whose sound fabric is a polyphonic chant, which uses precisely the rhythmic pattern of lallazione, syllabication and repetition of vocal sounds.
