Theater of Places/ Stuff of the Other World

To save the world from a deep economic, social and human crisis, Aliens arrive on Earth. That's the plot of "Robe dell'altro mondo," a Carrozzeria Orfeo/Le Canaglie production that will be staged at Ortale dei Cantieri Teatrali Koreja, for Koreja's "Teatro dei luoghi" review. A show that contaminates languages and storytelling, merging the theatrical code with that of illustrations, building a story and characters that push reality to the point of paradox and the grotesque. Through visual and musical atmospheres, the contemporary is investigated, which is enriched by making the boundary between real and fantastic worlds imperceptible. The original dramaturgy of the play by Gabriele Di Luca has been readapted. Massimiliano Setti, who also directs, assembles electronic music on stage as he plays the characters in the story together with actor and musician Sebastiano Bronzato. Federico Bassi and Giacomo Trivellini, on the other hand, create live illustrations giving life to surprising animations.
