The work of Pulcinella

Pulcinella has a home, too, in Bari. Obviously, in a theatre: the Teatro casa di Pulcinella whose founder, Paolo Comentale, arrives in Lecce on the occasion of the initiatives organised to celebrate World Puppet Day. The author and performer of countless shows for children brings 'L'opera di Pulcinella' to the stage. In the show, the most famous and ravenous mask in the world grapples with his eternal adversaries he encounters along the way: a dog, a bully, a skeleton, a judge, a capuchin and an executioner. The scenes unfold amidst persuasive and warlike atmospheres, passing through squares, fields and courtrooms. At the end, in the presence of the Devil himself, Punchinello will play out his last, most special adventure.

In the morning, at 11 am, the OgniBene library will host the workshop "Un mondo di ombre" (A world of shadows) organised by the Teatro Le Giravolte of Aradeo.
