The Great Gatsby

Jay Gatsby, on stage Massimiliano Varrese, is a self-made man, a self-made man in a manner, however, rather suspicious and shady. About him and his past, many stories are told. The only certainty is his present of unbridled luxury and lavish parties, despite a rather shy and unfriendly character. "The Great Gatsby," the eccentric, enigmatic and extremely sophisticated protagonist of Francis Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, is staged on the Teatini stage with Ergo Sum's production. Over the voice of narrator Nick Carraway (Fabrizio Bordignon) unravels the story of Jay who, beyond all appearances, has a single purpose: to find a woman, Daisy Fay (Giulia Innocenti) his green light, a metaphor for his hopes, but also for his deceptions and illusions.
