Teatro in Tasca/ Cinderella, Rossini at the opera

In the secret workshop of Teatro in Tasca at Koreja, amid magic potions, alchemical formulas and mysterious experiments, Cinderella appears. With her, Pasquale Buonarota, Nino D'Introna and Alessandro Pisci of the Trg Foundation introduce spectators to the world of opera and the personal vicissitudes of Gioacchino Rossini. The great composer from Pesaro, while creating his new opera 'Cinderella', finds himself immersed in his musical world, but also in everyday life, pressed by commitments and obsessed by food and laziness. On stage are three characters: Maestro Rossini, who embodies music; librettist Jacopo Ferretti, who represents words; and a young girl named Angelina, who symbolises singing. The young girl, while cleaning in the theatre, helps the two 19th-century artists to combine music, words and singing in an opera, which will achieve worldwide fame. Between emotions, poetry and comedy, the girl, as modern and disenchanted as Rossini's music, loses her slipper.
